Standard First Aid with CPR - Level C/AED - Recertification
This course is available for individuals who are currently registered in either Standard First Aid (First Aider 1) or Emergency First Aid (First Aider 2) through any accredited agency recognized by Occupational Health and Safety (St. John’s, Red Cross, etc.). Cardholders must be within the 3-year certification time period to qualify for recertification. This comprehensive course meets the curriculum requirements equivalent to prior registration standards, and in addition to a 3-year certification in Standard or Emergency First Aid, students will receive Heart and Stroke Foundation certification in Adult, Child, Infant CPR and Automated External Defibrillation (1-year certification). The CPR portion of the course can also be modified for individuals requiring recertification in CPR only (either Level C/AED, or Health Care Provider C). For those wishing to recertify in CPR only, attendance is required for only the first portion of the course (1/2) day. EMP courses provide students with quality training using Certified Instructors who have an active background in the Emergency Medical Services. Learn in a positive, low stress environment, with an emphasis on current first aid practices and protocols. Additional courses may be scheduled based on demand (minimum 6 per class).
